When I was a teenager, I use to love to paint dragons. After all they are the namesake of the Dungeons and Dragons game. Of coarse, the dragons now are way cooler, and Cinder is no exception.
I took quite a few months painting this one, mainly because I got in to Warhammer 40,000 and that took a lot of my painting efforts.
I kept the figure a red, and I tried to stick to the traditional adaptation of color schemes. Most drawing have the underside of the dragons wing in red now days, but I decided to go with a golden brown to break up the reds.
Originally, I was planning on putting my Cynder on a hoard of treasure, but I decided a dragon is more threatening when he is on the attack, not de fence.
I used a combination of Reaper paints, Privateer P3 Paints, Games workshop paints (foundation and standard), and Golden Acrylics.
